The Clemens Suite
Starting at $259
Nestled on the third floor, the Clemens Suite spans the depth of the house, and offers views of the front and rear gardens. A private stairway* from the second floor leads up to these two rooms with an adjoining bath. The front room has a King sleigh bed, armoire and chair and is decorated in soothing blue tones. Relax in the sitting room with a comfy daybed and reading chairs. This room offers a view of the Church of the Transfiguration, which has 3 Tiffany stained glass windows dedicated to Olivia Clemens, Mark Twain’s wife.
- Two-room suite
- King sleigh bed in one room and twin daybed in second room
- Bath with stall shower and skylight
*As the former servant’s quarters, this space is our most private room; guests with mobility concerns may find the staircase leading up to it is steeper than most, in keeping with early 19th century construction. There is not an elevator.
