Start Your Day With a Sumptuous Breakfast
Breakfast at the Manor House Inn is sure to be a memorable part of your visit with the ambiance provided by our lovely dining room and the fresh ingredients that make up our culinary creations.
The Connecticut countryside is covered with farms and we prepare our breakfasts using as many local ingredients as possible- from Connecticut brown eggs to Pittsfield Rye artisanal bread to Nodine’s Smokehouse bacon and sausage. And, of course, your stay with us isn’t complete without pure New England maple syrup. We get ours from Mead’s sugarhouse which is just a few miles away. If you stay with us in the summer, we encourage you to take a stroll after breakfast to the Norfolk Farmers’ Market on Saturdays, where you can meet some of the local farmers and craftsman.
Each morning starts off with freshly brewed coffee and a selection of Harney & Sons teas in the Great Room starting at 7:30 am. Guests are invited to dine at private tables between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. in our bright dining room with exquisite Tiffany windows and garden views. Breakfast favorites include thick French toast topped with plump blackberries and raspberries and asparagus frittata with caramelized onions and goat cheese.
