Tanglewood
The 2020 Tanglewood season, June 19 through August 30, will present major musical events, including an Andris Nelsons-led Act III of Tannhäuser, Paul Lewis performing all five Beethoven piano concertos, a weekend-long celebration of Isaac Stern on the 100th anniversary of his birth, a Boston Pops presentation of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back under the direction of Keith Lockhart, Film Night hosted by John Williams, Thomas Adès directing the 2020 Festival of Contemporary Music, and a Popular Artist series with Ringo Starr, Trey Anastasio, and Judy Collins and Arlo Guthrie.

Shakespeare & Company
Theatre lovers won’t want to miss Shakespeare & Company in nearby Lenox, MA, one of the largest and well-known Shakespeare festivals in the country. Don’t miss Shakespeare classics, as well as their incredible collection of thought provoking contemporary plays.
The theme for the 2020 Season is The Labyrinth of Love, and includes King Lear (June 28 – August 2, featuring Christopher Lloyd), The Comedy of Errors (July 7 – August 8, presented outdoors at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s estate) and Much Ado About Nothing (August 6 to 30). Other performances include What Rhymes with America, Row after Row, and Betrayal.
Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival
Celebrating its 88th season, Jacob’s Pillow is the longest-running dance festival in the United States, a National Historic Landmark, and a National Medal of the Arts recipient.
The Dance Festival’s 2020 season, from June 24 to August 30, features dance artists from around the world and includes more than 350 performances, world premieres, pop-up performances, exhibits, talks, classes, films, and dance parties.
Infinity Music Hall
Built in 1883, this stunning arts-and-crafts style music venue offers intimate performances for an audience of just 300. Infinity Hall Norfolk hosts more than 200 concerts each year across every genre. And it’s just a short walk from the inn!
A few of the exciting performances this summer include Roomful of Blues, Ana Popovic, The Cast of Beatlemania, Jonathan Edwards, Gaelic Storm, and Crystal Bowersox.
Norfolk Chamber Music Festival (Yale Summer School of Music)
For over 100 years, music lovers have enjoyed superb performances at Norfolk’s music shed. The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival offers world-renowned instruction to graduate students from all over the world who aspire to be professional musicians. Friday and Saturday night performances during July and August feature some of the worlds most renowned musicians, including the Brentano Quartet, St. Lawrence Quartet and Dover Quartet.
Don’t miss the Festival’s free concerts every Thursday at 7:30pm and Saturday at 10:30am at the Music Shed throughout the summer.
