The Clemens Suite
Starting at $259
Nestled on the third floor, the Clemens Suite spans the depth of the house and offers views of the front and rear gardens. A private stairway* from the second floor leads up to a front room with a King sleigh bed, reading chairs, and eclectic fireplace and is decorated in soothing blue tones. The back half of the suite offers a view of the Church of the Transfiguration, which has three Tiffany stained glass windows dedicated to Olivia Clemens, Mark Twain’s wife.
- King sleigh bed
- Petite bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, and vintage sink
*As the former servant’s quarters, this space is our most private room; guests with mobility concerns may find the staircase leading up to it is steeper than most, in keeping with early 19th century construction. There is not an elevator.
